---------------------[R/U Devotion]----------------------
Hello, my name is Will, and I run a blog over at redhawkswins.wordpress.com. You can also find me on Twitter @RedhawkWill.
I have been playing Magic for a little over a year. I just wanted to start a discussion on my R/U Devotion Deck that I have been playing lately with some success. I made the finals of my local game store's FNM this week and have made the top 8 of it at the last 3 FNM's overall. Here is my decklist:

Just a few notes about the deck:
- The deck is a base mono-red devotion deck with blue splash for Turn\\Burn and Cyclonic Rift in the mainboard and Negate in the side. Soul of Shandalar is the latest addition and it does everything it is suppose to and more. It is awesome as a mana dump when you don't have anything in hand and is a big creature that can even take on something like Polukranos.
-I have tried Hoarding Dragon in this deck with singletons of Soul of New Phyrexia and Scuttling Doom Engine (which Patrick Chapin recommended in his article on Friday), but every time I play tested and I had Hoarding Dragon and pretty much any other card, I almost always wanted to play the other card. Also, to add in Hoarding Dragon, Soul of New Phyrexia, and Scuttling Doom Engine into the deck, I had to cut the Cyclonic Rift and the Turn\\Burn from the main board. That being said, I added one Scuttling Doom Engine into the side as what I like to call an Elspeth killer.
-Some of the things that I'm looking to change in the future. With Polymorphist's Jest available, I'm thinking the time of Mizzium Mortars may be done. Polymorphist's Jest may just be better with a cheaper mana cost. With that in mind, I'm thinking of adding in one or two Anger of the Gods into the sideboard as well. Also, since Polymorphist's Jest is double blue, this means I may want to go ahead and add 4 Shivan Reefs to help the blue splash.
So what are you thoughts on this deck? Have any questions or any recommendations?
