Weekly Speculating- Week2 AND 3, double the info!

Weekly Speculating- Week 2 - Is this a Conspiracy?

Hey folks! Sorry this is a little late, but looks like you guys will be getting double the articles this week! DOUBLE the advice! Let’s get right too it shall we? Just to re-iterate these will not be so wordy, but rather follow them up with me if you all have any questions, or just talk finance!

Courser of Kruphix/foil- So, Pro Tour Journey into Nyx...there was a TON of copies! I think this will be the rare to stockpile of Theros, the Deathrite Shaman if you will. *It probably won’t be banned too!* Pick up copies on the cheap, and be aggressive in trades for them. Foil versions would be a great addition too if you find a deal. Though, this isn't a Legacy card by any means, so there’s not a huge foil pimp crowd in Modern as they are in legacy. You may not make as much on this ‘spec’ but rather at least have them if they decide to climb another 5 dollars than it’s price-point now. 20$ extra on a play-set isn't pennies.

Price point I would buy at: 5-6$ if you can find them, no higher than 7.
Price point I think it could reach- 15$ non foil 35$ foil *longer term 18$ on non-foil*

Since the market has been a bit stable (as of now) and hasn't had too much action this section will be for cards to watch:

I’m going to be honest here as always. I don’t really know where this is going to end up. I’m just saying keep an eye out for it, it’s increasing popularity in Legacy could boost this fairly high. FOIL versions for sure, this card is from a fairly un-opened set. Very unique which they won’t print for some time. Foil versions, again being even safer.

….Why is this card back down to 9-10$? It’s arguably the best archetype in Modern, and this is the premier card of that deck. I think Modern PTQ seasons bring this card back to 20$. If Splinter Twin can hold a price like that, Birthing Pod certainly can too.

**I said it last week I will say it once more. Shocklands, now is your last chance to get them this cheap again. Yes, they could be a prime candidate for a reprint in a set like Modern Masters2 or even something like Conspiracy. Though I don’t think they will. I could be wrong, but If I’m right there is huge upside, so getting them for cheap FOIL versions too, they have longevity.**

-Reply to this article for me to show what I would by them at when I mean “cheap”. Or email any questions.-

Huge spec! *Conspiracy sealed product*

This may be a great product to go in on, I don’t know if this is going to be a yearly thing Wizards does, but it sure seems tempting. If anything, I think they have room to grow from 100-110 dollars, considering foil versions for new cards (Dack Fayden/various EDH worthy cards) but also reprints such as Brainstorm. Again, this spec is not for the weak hearted, but you can see the trend of Modern Masters from then until now. Only takes a google search, since pre-order prices MM has increased significantly. I have a feeling Conspiracy will too, though again this is not for the light hearted to tie your money up like this, but the payout seems like it could double on these pre-order prices.

Cards to unload:

Standard cards, if you haven’t already. RTR cards not worth keeping, just buy-list them. You already missed the boat to get rid of these otherwise. Take the increased trade % on buy-lists and get some Theros cards on the cheap (or anything else you may need), and next time, don’t be lazy! Always rotate older Standard cards right around the 2nd set of a new block.
